Terrazzo in Contemporary Design

Terrazzo – the Italian word for “terrace” re-emerges as a classic twist to modern contemporary design.

Inspired by Italian artisan tradition, these interpretations incorporate traditional & new designs to create interesting aesthetics – for both modern and retro environments.

The latest technologies allow these Terrazzo inspired designs to be produced in hard wearing, water & stain resistant porcelain stoneware – a material that can be soft under foot for internal living areas, and have an anti-slip surface finish for

wet and external areas.

With the addition of colour and aggregate size & form, these Terrazzo look tiles combine various surface textures and formats – to allow for both internal and external living applications.

Bathroom design has also taken on a new approach to creative ambience, and how this can now be specifically tailored to a clients need for colour, texture & pattern, to create inner harmony in this space. The colours within the floor & wall finishes can also be co-ordinated with the other fixtures & fittings, harmoniously or dramatically.

The beauty of Terrazzo design has not gone un-noticed by commercial interior designers either, with many opting to use these NEW porcelain options in their projects because they are Resistant, Healthy and Sustainable - all with the ability to create a statement in any project.
